    Hi,

I just set up your software on Ubuntu 18.04.2 : everything runs smoothly until I want to launch a session. I get an openimaj exception : “org.openimaj.video.capture.VideoCaptureException : An error occured opening the capture device”, is there some known drivers / dependencies I just forgot to install ? I already install openjfx and libopenjfx-java.

My camera is (got it from the command line output, not sure it’s the real name) “[Webcam] HP Integrated webcam” and your same software works well on windows (made a dual boot) with the same camera.

    Regards,
    Antoine

I may also add that the camera works with other Ubuntu software (like “Cheese”)

This error is not a missing dependency error.
Phoyo does not work well with virtual webcams and some integrated webcams.
    Try using an external webcam.

    Thank you for your response.

However, Phoyo was able to detect and use the __same camera__ on Windows on the __same computer__ : is there really nothing to do to get the same computer working on Ubuntu ?

Phoyo does not use the same technology to communicate with webcams on linux and windows.
    An external webcam should work.
